The 38.60mm diameter flan is adorned with portraits of an incredible THIRTEEN British monarchs, many of whom played a pivotal role in the development of modern history.

The coin is highlighted by a portrait of Charles III placed above a depiction of the Imperial Crown of State and also includes portraits of his twelve predecessors, from Queen Anne to Queen Elizabeth II. These include all six Hanoverian monarchs - George I, II, III and IV and William IV and Queen Victoria - as well as Edward VII and George V, Edward VIII and George VI. Remarkably, the depictions of all Charles's predecessors are based on the original portraits on the coins. This issue of the Tokelau legal tender, which features a special commemorative obverse, combines a portrait of Charles III by Daniel Thorne with a number of British heraldic emblems.
