The American Eagle Uncirculated Silver Coin is a collectible version of the official American Eagle silver coin from the US Mint. This coin has been in production since 1986, and was updated in 2021 to mark the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program with a refreshed obverse (head) and completely redesigned reverse (tail).
As with its bullion counterpart, the obverse side of the American Eagle silver uncirculated coin features a full-length figure of Liberty by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, draped in the folds of the flag, with his right arm outstretched and laurel and oak branches in his left hand. Taking advantage of technological advances, the coin has been redesigned to incorporate some of Weinman's original details, including the addition of his traditional artist's mark. The coin features the inscriptions "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2025."
The reverse of the coin was created by United States Mint Art Infusion Program Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by United States Mint medalist Michael Gaudioso. The design depicts an eagle approaching a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to its nest. The coin features the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "1 OZ. FINE SILVER" and "ONE DOLLAR".
