This 1912 20 French franc gold coin is a type 2 Marianne - Rooster gold coin minted between 1907 and 1917. These type 2 coins can be easily identified by the year on the coin and the inscription on the edge: Liberté Egalité Fraternité.
Front: Marianne in profile, facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with an oak branch, a symbol of justice. The name of the engraver can also be identified to the right of Marianne's neck: J.C. Chaplain.
Reverse: a proud cockerel on a grassy field is turned to the left and just below it the year 1912 is legible. On the sides of the cockerel is the face value of the coin: 20 Fcs.
On the title, the motto of the Republic Liberté Égalité Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity) appears.
